Yu Type Keyboard Helps The Hunt And Peck Typist

Not everyone can be a professional typist. There are a many that rely on the two finger hunt and peck method of typing.

At the Toyota RCA Design Competition, Yusuf Muhammad introduced a concept gadget known as the Yu Type Keyboard. This office gadget sits just above the keyboard as well as interfaces with it.

Whatever the touch typist types will display on the digital screen.

Since many two finger typists tend to look at their keyboard while typing, having a digital display just above it means that they no longer need to keep glancing at the monitor to check their typing. As such, this gadget is expected to improve typing speed and confidence.

Although still a concept gadget, Muhammad is looking to further develop this idea by adding an auto spell check feature as well as predictive typing.
