Over the past few years, we’ve seen some rather interesting docks and chargers that have been developed for the iPhone, but the Black Diamond from Yantouch is certainly one of the more unusual. If you’ve ever been to Florida, you may see the resemblence between the Black Diamond and the Epcot Center.
This dock comes with its own app as well as sound sensing technology and each of these components work together to create the docks full effect. The company hasn’t really provided a lot of detail on their product, but it would appear that once connected, the device acts as a sound sensing mood lamp. The hope of the company is that Black Diamond will inspire other developers to build upon some of the concepts within product. Some of the ideas that are being thrown around include color coded called ID or an outdoor thermometer.
If you’ve been looking for a mood lamp for your home, you will be able to buy the Black Diamond soon for $79 and if sales are good, the company is also hoping to put out an Android version.
