For $199 you can pick up a special x-ray filter lens that attaches to a camcorder to give it x-ray vision capabilities. The theory behind the lens is that clothing that is worn allows for ambient light and infrared light to pass through until it reaches the skin. At that point, it is reflected back. Normally, we see is a combination of this light and infrared light. What the lens does is filter out the regular light so that all that remains is infrared light. It is this process that renders the clothing “virtually invisible” and allows the operator to see through clothing.
Similar to the TSA Millimeter Scanners that are being looked at in airport locations, this camera lens is meant for law enforcement officers, and security and surveillance personnel. Of course, bringing this technology to the consumer level means you’ll potentially have a lot of people wanting to buy this technology to look at “naked people”. Can you say new niche for Girls Gone Wild.
