Wrapsol Ultra – Scratch Resistant Film

Wrapsol Ultra - Scratch Resistant Film

When you buy a brand new gadget and take the wrappings off, the first thing you want to do is to protect your investment, especially during those first couple of weeks when the device still has its shine.

Wrapsol Ultra film is a protective skin that has been developed to be compatible with a variety of different smartphones including the Google Nexus One, Apple iPhone/iPod, Motorola Droid, RIM Blackberry and many others. The Ultra film will offer your device protection from scratches and nicks, but Wrapsol also claims that their film comes with shock absorption properties so that it will offer additional drop protection from a maximum height of 6-feet.

Application of the film is easy and requires no liquid during the apply process. The film retails for $24.99.

I’ve heard that the front glass on devices such as iPhones is almost scratch proof and putting a film on it won’t do anything to protect it (I have a screen cover anyways). Protecting the sides and back are necessary though. I don’t believe that the films could provide any shock protection.
