
With the IEEE 802.11n wireless standard finally approved, we’re seeing some interesting gadgets such as the Trendnet wireless N USB adapter that claims to be the world’s smallest at this time.
Slightly larger then a quarter, this ultra compact, high speed adapter offers wireless access at speeds up to six times that which is currently available using wireless G technology. In addition to the speed benefits, wireless N technology also increases the transmission range by up to three times. The USB device also includes “One-touch setup with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)”
The TEW-648UB Trendnet adapter has a retail price of $24.99 and offers an easy way to access the extreme speeds of N technology, especially if you happen to have a laptop that includes a built-in wireless G adapter.
