World’s First PC Free Skype Videophone – Asus Ai Guru SV1

The title of the world’s first PC free Skype videophone now belongs to the Asus Ai Guru SV1. This new gadget comes with a 7″ display, built-in webcam and allows for real time video and voice calls to anyone on the Skype network.

Asus Eee Ai Guru SV1 PC Free Videophone Skype

The objective of the new video phone was to allow for simple video chat and to that end, the videophone comes with an easy user interface, simple button layouts and icon driven menus.

The Eee videophone includes Wi-Fi connectivity, making it a portable video conferencing solution that can be used just about anywhere that there is a network connection. Setup consists of connecting the videophone to the internet, signing-in to your Skype account and then starting your video call.

Some of the other features that you receive with the Eee videophone are the ability to receive incoming calls through your online (Skypein) number, call forwarding, Skype voicemail and conference calling.

    Pretty cool, but it does look a little bulky. I’d like to see a super thin one that I could mount on the wall…that would be sweet!
