This strange spherical object isn’t the latest office ornament with which to adorn your desk, but rather is a handmade mouse, courtesy of Actbrise Electronics. The wooden Jupiter mouse is made from Chinese flowering ash and possesses four clickable buttons, which according to the designer, resemble “the largest planet’s famous spot”.
This mouse does not work like a traditional mouse that you glide on a flat surface. Instead, the contour of this ball fits nicely within your hand and the onscreen cursor moves in the direction and speed at which the Jupiter mouse is rotated.
At $232, the Jupiter Mouse is not cheap but it will have it’s nice in the marketplace.
