D-Link has come out with two new home security video cameras, models DSC-910 and DSC-2121. These are to meet the growing demand in a niche that D-Link refers to as the “home security market”.
Of the two models, the DSC-2121 is the wireless security camera. With the absence of wires, this camera could be used as a wireless hidden camera. This model also offers a couple of other interesting features such as Full Duplex 2-way Audio, low light recording, and dual mode (MJPEG and MPEG-4) recording. The DCS-910 is similar but is a wired security camera that requires an Ethernet LAN connection into the home network.
Both model cameras come with D-Link’s monitoring software known as D-ViewCam 2.0. This piece of software allows you to watch up to 32 video streams simultaneously, which would be impractical for a typical home but would be beneficial in large corporate environments with a dedicated private security force.
