It looks like we may soon see Xbox Live enabled games ported to Windows Mobile phones. A recent job posting for the role of the Principal Program Manager – LIVE Engagement on an employment board seems to confirm this.

The successful candidate will be responsible in helping to “drive the platform and bring Xbox LIVE enabled games to Windows Mobile” through “avatar integration, social interactions, and multi-screen experiences.”

We should see some interesting developments next year in the mobile gaming scene and this move may also help the struggling Microsoft platform compete with others such as Google Android and the Apple iPhone.
