WIND mobile was believed to be adding a new Android phone to its lineup and it appears that this rumor may have been substantiated with a new screenshot showing an online training webpage for their new Motorola Milestone XT720.
If the rumor does pan out, this new Android phone will be by far their best Android phone thus far and certainly a class above their current Huawei U8100. The Milestone XT720 mobile phone comes with a 3.7-inch display screen that supports 480×854 pixel resolution as well as 3G, WiFi, GPS and an 8MP camera with high definition video recording. In terms of the Android OS version, the XT720 will debut with Android 2.1.
What makes this even more interesting is that WIND will have a leg up on the other Canadian mobile carriers like Bell, Telus and Rogers, none of whom offer this handset. Additionally, there have been few details about this mobile phone coming to the US mobile carrier T-Mobile. Certainly, an exclusive deal such as this will garner WIND added media attention that can only result in more customers and perhaps profit, assuming they keep their pricing fair.
