If you have a small business online, increasing website traffic can mean the difference between success and failure.
To that extend, many entrepreneurs closely monitor traffic stats using online tools such as Google Analytics or Sitemeter.
For most, this should be sufficient as these tools provide extensive statistical data. However, Frederik Podzuweit has designed a conceptual gadget known as Emotional Statistics, a bowl like device that displays stats. The bowl uses flashing diodes to represent how deep a visitor goes on a website and if the diodes in the center flash, it means that an online purchase has been made. Based on the lighting pattern, the bowl also tracks traffic sources (direct traffic, organic search, paid search, referral) and if the visitor is a returning visitor or a new one to the site.
I only have to ask Why?
