Call it a late holiday gift, but Palm Pre mobile phone users will be treated to a wireless firmware upgrade called webOS 1.3.5 build 194. It’s been widely reported last week that this upgrade was coming, but the exact date was not clear. We now know that Sprint will rollout the update sometime today.
With the new firmware comes better battery life and overall performance in weak cell phone coverage areas, some bug fixes and best of all, elimination of the app storage space limit which restricted the number of applications that users could download on their smartphones. Now all that’s needed is a larger selection of apps for download.
