WaterMill is an electricity powered machine that can extract up to 13 quarts of water from the air and purify it so that it becomes drinkable and available for human consumption. WaterMill is the design of Canadian company Element Four and it is anticipated that a household version of this device will go on sale in Spring 2009.

An industrial version of WaterMill called WaterWall is also being designed. This gadget is geared more towards impoverished countries such as Zimbabwe and Congo where an installed WaterWall could meet the water needs of an entire village.

WaterMill is expected to retail for about $1,300, but a stripped down version of this unit for use in countries such as Africa will cost no more then $300, making it an affordable and practical method for alleviating some of the misery caused by waterborne diseases.
