Vision Camera has come out with their Phantom Flex camera, an ultra fast camera that is capable of capturing 1080p full high definition video using the high frame rate of 2,800 fps. As a result of this feature, videographers are able to capture some amazing digital video of fast moving items, be it a lightening strike or the flight of a hummingbird. Once the video has been captured, it can be played back at a slower speed to reveal highly detailed movements.
In addition to the 1080p at 2,800 fps, the Phantom Flex camera includes a 1000 ISO sensitivity and can be toggled to shoot higher (2560 x 1600 at 1,560fps), slower (to as low as 5fps), or faster (640 x 480 at 13,000fps). Capturing video footage in high speed mode uses up an incredible amount of memory and because of this, the unit ships with just 16 or 32GB RAM but this can be augmented with larger SSD modules that are hot-swappable.
