ViewSonic has launched their new high definition 3D projector in the PJD6531w. The wide screen projector as referenced by the “w” in its model name is able to reproduce an onscreen image at 120Hz, which is the equivalent of 3D content.

The Viewsonic projector has a power rating of 3000 lumens, has a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a contrast ratio of 3200:1. The unit also has a wired Ethernet connection (RJ45) through which a network connection can be established.

The Viewsonic PJD6531w may not have the best hardware specifications that we have seen but it is a home projector that supports 3D content and is priced at £649.99 which is quite a bit cheaper then a 3D HDTV.
