Viewsonic recently launched the VMP70 HD digital media player, a direct-connect player that lets you hook up a external hard drive or USB flash drive to your HDTV. It delivers up to 1080p quality video and home theater-quality audio.
The player serves HDMI, Composite (YpbPr), Component (CVBS) and SPDIF inputs, as well as two USB 2.0 ports. It comes with a remote control, too. The VMP70 is remarkably compact, with a weight of less than one pound.
The player can also access multiple sources at the same time, and gives the user an easy way to preview digital collections. It supports a very complete range of audio and video formats, so it’s likely to play every single bit of media you have.
This portable digital media player can be yours at $129, though it’s currently selling at the holiday promotion price of around $99. Just in time for Christmas!
