Maintaining a mobile device can be pretty tricky for those watching their budgets these days. The majority of the plans offered in the market today are post-paid, and many post-paid options come at ridiculous prices and even more ridiculous data plans. Will Verizon be offering a better option with the pre-paid solutions it’s currently working on?
Verizon is currently developing pre-paid options for their customers, and there are rumors that the RIM BlackBerry devices will play an important part of the new campaign. A pre-paid plan would be quite interesting to see, and should give those tired of post-paid plans a more cost-effective way to stay wired.
Rumor has it that Verizon’s BlackBerry pre-paid plans will be about $35, not to shabby, and that the hardware cost will range full retail price and a carrier-subsidized one.
There isn’t any word as to when Verizon will be offering this service either. Everything’s rather still up in the air at this point. We’ll stay on the story as it develops over the next several months.
