Verizon USB760 Modem

As of November 15th, Verizon Wireless will make available prepaid wireless broadband data plans for customer to access their wireless 3G network. The prepaid plans are available in daily, weekly or monthly allotments and because of the low bandwidth offered combined with the high price, these cards are really designed for those that need occasional or seasonal network access. The plans might make sense if you want some basic internet access to checkup on email while on a weekend getaway vacation.

The daily plan comes with 75MB of data transfer and costs $15 while the weekly plan offers 250MB for $30 and the monthly plan gives you 500MB for $50.

Along with these grab and go packages, you will need a modem and the Verizon Wireless USB760 modem will retail for $129.99. The USB760 includes 8GB of data storage and is compatible with Windows, MAC and the Linux operating systems.

Not bad for business trips even though it’s a little pricey, I wouldn’t use it for day to day, instead I have a Straight Talk phone with unlimited data for internet access as well as unlimited talk and texts for $45/month. it is on Verizon’s network nationwide which is the best and the reason I would consider this new data plan for trips away only.
