Yun Li has designed a conceptual onion-shaped UV lamp that is powered by solar energy. The eco-friendly device includes a solar panel that collects the sun’s energy and stores it in an internal rechargeable battery.
The UVonion lamp offers LED illumination and emits ultraviolet light which is known to kill harmful germs and bacteria in the home environment. This concept lamp doesn’t emit heat, making it safe to use anywhere in the house, including a walk in closet.
The UVonion lamp has a dual purpose of solar powered room lighting and sterilization. At this time, the UV onion lamp is still at a design stage.
