USB Mix Tape

If you’re over 30, you probably grew up, at least for part of your childhood, in an era where MP3 players, and digital media were terms as futuristic as the phaser in Star Trek. At that point in time, vinyl records were popular and if you wanted to exchange music (legally of course) with your friends, you would do so using cassette tapes.

Prezzy Box has brought back some of that retro culture when it comes to digital media with usb sticks that are housed in cassette sleeves. Just like the original cassette tapes, these usb sticks will hold up to 60 minutes of music, so you do need to carefully select what you would like to place on there.

Once that has been determined and completed, the cassette sleeve has a writable surface, just like the old days where you can nicely list all the music on the USB stick. Back in the day, you couldn’t remove songs from the middle of a cassette tape without re-recording everything again from the song you wanted to remove. Assuming you used a pen or felt to list the music on the sleeve, this would often leave the sleeves rather messy as you cross off songs from the sleeve that no longer existed on the cassette. You can now create the same effect with the USB sticks, crossing off songs no longer on the digital medium. The only difference is it is now a heck of a lot easier to delete songs off of a USB stick.
