Like many handset manufacturers, HTC has confirmed that an upgrade to Android 2.2 OS (Froyo) will be coming to their smartphones. The HTC desire should have it by June 23rd while other handsets are scheduled for later this year, with exact timing not known.
Similar to phone mods seen with other handsets, a new one has surfaced allowing mobile users to port Android 2.2 to an HTC handset. You can check out the unofficial port below but as always, this is not an HTC approved change and will most likely void the warranty.
