The debut of two Apple Mac Mini has been announced. These will be the most affordable MAC to date, with pricing set at $599 for the lower end model and $799 for the higher end model.
The common features between the two models will be the 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 8x double-layer SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 BASE-T), 5 USB 2.0 ports, and the FireWire 800 port.
The differences between the two models will be in the RAM and hard drive size. The lower end model will come standard with 1GB memory and a 120GB hard drive while the higher end model will include 2GB memory and a 320GB hard drive.
The MAC Mini is said to be the world’s most energy-efficient desktop computer using less then 13 watts of energy while idle.
