USB gadgets are growing leaps and bounds and although it’s easy to recharge your devices by plugging them into a free USB port on a pc, sometimes it’s nice not be be tied down to a desktop computer.
The TruePower UCS USB Power Outlet has been created to replace a standard home power outlet. What’s different about this one is that in addition to the standard power sockets, it also comes with two USB power outlets so that you can directly plug your gadgets into it.
Although the new wall outlets are pending UL Approval and are expected to be available in early 2010, pre-orders at $9.95 a pop are being accepted. One of the nice design features of the new outlets is they will not be an energy drain or vampire port when nothing is plugged into the USB port.
