The Orb bluetooth headset is a ring shaped device that you can wear as a piece of jewelery on your finger. When a phone call comes in, the ring transforms into an S-shaped bluetooth earpiece that you can fit around your ear to receive the incoming call.
This may sound like some future technology being developed, but this new product will apparently go on sale in 2010.
You may notice that their is no visible earpiece inserted into the ear itself and that’s because this unit works through bone conduction, a mechanism where sound transmissions enter the brain directly through touch.
The Orb wireless headset will include a flexible OLED screen that provides additional data such as appointment reminders, caller ID and voice to text service.
The Orb bluetooth headset will sell for $129 with a deluxe model retailing for $175.
