At the recent mobile phone expo known as Mobile World Congress, Toshiba announced the availability of the TG01, a touchscreen phone. Toshiba has high hopes for this new mobile phone and expects that it will “revolutionize the mobile entertainment world”.
This slim mobile phone is 4.1 inches wide, 9.9 mm thick and will feature a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which is the fastest processor chip used in the industry thus far. Other features of the handset include built-in 3G support, Wi-Fi, GPS, a microSD card slot and DivX/flash support.
User interaction with this mobile phone will be through an onscreen virtual trackpad. The TG01 will also come standard with a “G-sensor” that will recognize phone tilt around a central axis.
Pricing on this phone is still to come, but expect to see it in European markets this summer.
