Toshiba Launches Wireless USB Docking Station

Toshiba Wireless U Dynadock

Ever wanted to use your notebook PC anywhere in your home or office, with full functionality of all your peripherals, but without the mess of wires? Toshiba just might have the answer for you, though that answer is quite a mouthful. Here I go… it’s the “Toshiba Dynadock Wireless U Universal USB Docking Station.” Unquote.

If you don’t know what a docking station is, it’s basically a tool for notebook users that lets them connect peripherals such as monitors, mice, and keyboards, without having to connect each device to the notebook with cables. Toshiba’s new docking station takes the technology a step further by going wireless, meaning you can pretty much work wherever you want in your home or office with it.

The features are pretty impressive – it comes with Digital 7.1 surround sound, a digital video card that can support up to 1680x1050p, and (among all the other usual ports) six USB ports, one of which can even charge your iPod when the dock isn’t on.

Some pretty nifty offerings if you ask me. The $299 price tag may be a bit hefty for some, but for the freedom, it’s worth every penny. Toshiba’s new docking station will likely hit a store shelf near you before the month ends.
