Yesterday, 09/09/09 was Apple’s day with their press event at which we saw the return of Steve Jobs and a series of announcements for the upcoming holiday season which included the iPod Nano getting a video camera, price cuts for the iPod Touch, 4GB Shuffle availability in new colors, and the release of iTunes 9 and Digital Albums.
Lost in the glitz of this media event was the teaser image that Dell released for their latest version of the Dell Adamo laptop that measures just 9.99mm in thickness. It was no coincidence that the announcement was made yesterday considering the date and laptop thickness similarity as well as the fact that Dell is openly going after MacBook Air customers.
A Dell spokesperson was not forthcoming with additional hardware specifications of the laptop, indicating that more details will be available just before the product launches. However, with similar pricing and design, the Adamo stands a good chance of competing head to head with the MacBook Air.
