At the Autumn Edition of the Electronics Fair which is being held in Hong Kong this week, Shiro previewed it’s latest media player called the Shiro SQ-S. This player has been nominated for the HKEIA Award for Outstanding Innovation & Technology Products. One of the interesting features that it possesses is the ability to charge itself using solar energy.
The Shiro SQ-S features a 1.8″ 65K color LCD display. This unit supports a variety of media formats including MP3/ WMA/ WAV/ FLAC/ APE/ OGG. When you’ve had your fill of your own music, you also have the option of listening to your favorite radio stations via the built in FM tuner. The Shiro SQ-S can also be used to watch videos, photo viewing, or as a text reader.
Space will not be an issue due to the 16 GB of memory. The SQ-S also provides up to 35 hours of music playback or 7 hours of video playback on a single charge which takes 4 hours in direct light.
