Google Chrome Browser Goes Beta

According to the Official Google Blog, Google Chrome is now available for download in a new beta version for trial. The new beta is said to be 30% faster then the current stable version when compared using the SunSpider and V8 benchmarks.

Along with the speed improvements, Google Chrome will adopt HTML5 with it’s video tagging capacities, includes basic theme support to customize the look of your browser and has an improved Omnibox and new tab page.

The new tab page will feature bookmarks of sites that you visit as thumbnails which makes it quite easy to glance and find the site that you are looking for. Along with the thumbnails, the other enhancements to this page include the ability to drag and drop thumbnails in an effort to sort them according to your personal preferences. You will also be able to pin down a thumbnail in a specific spot if it’s a favorite internet site that you may not visit as frequently as some of your other ones.
