The Beer Tracker

Have you ever been to a party where there’s lots of liquor flowing, perhaps on New Years, where during the course of the night, you’ve just completely lost track of just how much you have had to drink? The electronic beer tracker is one of those superfluous gadgets that for just such a night.

Essentially, it is a bottle opener, but with a twist. The beer tracker contains an electronic counter. Each time it is used to open a bottle, it records just how many bottles have been opened with it. The premise behind if of course is if you only open your own bottles, you know just exactly how many drinks you’ve had.

Now, you may know a few guys that just love to “exaggerate things” and if they end up opening bottles for other people, the counts will of course be off.

According to gadgets.dk, the Beer Tracker bottle opener would be good to track the number of bottles if someone is going for a World Record. We don’t quite agree with this, but do believe that this gadget could lead to more awareness and sensible drinking.

Now if only the Star Trek bottle opener had this kind of smarts in it.
