Toshiba Gaming Laptop - Qosmio X305-Q708

Toshiba has announced the availability of the Qosmio® X305-Q708 gaming laptop. This is Toshiba’s most powerful laptop to date and has been designed with gamers in mind. The laptop comes with a 17-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite display. Additional features include a Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor, NIVDIA GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs, 128 GB SSD drive, 4 GB DDR3 ram, a full-size keyboard with 10-key pad, built-in 1.3 mega-pixel webcam with Toshiba face recognition and four Harman Kardon® stereo speakers with built-in subwoofer.

Toshiba Announces Ultraportable Portege 600

Toshiba announced the availability of their latest laptop, the Portege 600. This affordable ($1,399) ultraportable 12.1-inch notebook weighs 3.2 pounds, is only 1.18 inches thin and offers the user up to 7.5 hours of battery life. Charged Notebook In Just 10 Minutes

CEATEC JAPAN 2008 was the platform used by Toshiba to announce the design of a prototype battery known as SCIB (Super Charge ion Battery) which can charge a notebook battery to 90% capacity in only ten minutes.

The new prototype, once standard in notebooks will be a welcomed addition as it gives the notebook just that much more mobility and provides the owner with peace of mind that should they need to recharge the notebook, it could be done in less time then it would take to stand in line at your local coffee shop to purchase a drink.

The Toshiba Dual Platter Hard Drive

Toshiba has announced the design of the first dual platter hard drive (MK2431GAH). At a mere 1.8 inches, the Toshiba drive is just barely taller then a standard AA battery, yet comes with a storage capacity of either 240GB (MK2431GAH), 120 GB (K1231GAL) or 80 GB (MK8031GAL) depending upon the model.
