Convergent technology enters the realm of bathroom fixtures by means of the IHouse SmartFaucet that includes facial recognition technology.

The facial recognition software is able to identify the person in the bath and then set the water temperature and flow volume to the user preferred settings.

iLane is a device that connects to your Blackberry via bluetooth. Once connected, using a Bluetooth headset, you can use voice commands to have your Blackberry automatically read your personal email and news out loud.

This phone gadget will also permit the operator to respond to email as well as place phone calls using nothing but voice commands.

For $199 you can pick up a special x-ray filter lens that attaches to a camcorder to give it x-ray vision capabilities. The theory behind the lens is that clothing that is worn allows for ambient light and infrared light to pass through until it reaches the skin. At that point, it is reflected back. Normally, we see is a combination of this light and infrared light. What the lens does is filter out the regular light so that all that remains is infrared light. It is this process that renders the clothing “virtually invisible” and allows the operator to see through clothing.
