Sony announced the release of their latest e-reader called the Reader Digital Book (model PRS-700BC). The new reader boasts a number of features that will appeal to the market.
These include:
- 6.0-inch, touch screen display
- E Ink technology which makes it easier to read text even in bright light
- Interactive touch screen to thumb through pages
- Built-in LED reading light to allowing reading in low lighting conditions
- Adjustable text sizes - 5 font sizes
- Long battery life - Thumb through 7,500 pages on a single charge
The reader is available for pre-order at a cost of $400 US.

The Sony ICF CD3IP dock is an interesting gadget that brings together many of the devices that are commonly found in homes today. First and foremost, it is a dock and supports the charging and playback of music from both the iPOD and the iPhone. Along with this, the dock functions as an alarm clock supporting two alarms due to the built-in alarm as well as the one that exists in the iPod/iPhone.

Sony is unveiling it’s latest camera, the Sony DSLR A900. This camera is designed for serious photographers looking for a blend between SLR performance and the benefits brought about by digital photography. At 24.6 megapixel resolution, the DSLR A900 offers the highest resolution currently available, although we do know that this is a continually moving benchmark.

Starting in late September, Sony will begin shipping it’s Cyber-shot DSC T500. This model adds HD movie recordings, something that consumers are starting to demand. Using the MPEG4 AVC/H.264 codec allows Sony to offer high quality recordings and at the same time, keep file sizes small, thereby allowing easier transfer and download.
