This is really sweet. We’ve seen so many multifunction devices in stores that these have become the norm. However, when you see a new product that has 9 separate features, it does make you take a step back and notice.
That is exactly what Brothers has done with the release of their Model MFC-885CW 9 in 1 photo color wireless printer.
So what are the features of this printer? It has your traditional print, scan, fax and copy functions. Add to this direct photo printing from a flash card or USB drive and just to wet your appetite a bit more, it also features a 5.8 GHZ cordless phone, speaker phone and answering machine.
The estimated street price on this unit is $229.99.
I’m sure these are very stable units, but I can see a day when someone will be speaking with a friend and saying that he has to take the printer in to get it repaired as the phone isn’t working…. just seems weird, but this is a great example of the convergence of technology.
