Lego Art Made From Lego

We’ve seem some impressive art made from nothing more then ordinary Lego blocks. Designs that readily come to mind are the HMS Hood, Yankee Stadium and the Beijing Olympics. All of these creations have to be admired for their monumental size and the patience that the artists must have had to complete their respective projects.

The HMS Hood Returns In Lego Form

Almost 90 years after the HMS Hood was built (1920) and sunk by the German Kriegsmarine Battleship Bismarck in 1941, it makes it’s return in all it’s majesty and splendor in lego. The lego version of this battlecruiser is impressive, coming in at over 20 feet in length and built to minfig scale.

Rebuilding Yankee Stadium Brick By Brick

September 21, 2008 marked the end of an era with the closing of Yankee Stadium, the house that Ruth built. Over a span of three years, using some 45,000 lego bricks, Sean Kenney, with the aid of a grade schooler, recreated Yankee Stadium. Although not quite complete, Sean anticipates the project will be completed in the next few months.
