The Princess Leia Pumpkin

In a home far, far away (probably because it’s in another city), a pumpkin carver has created a cute carving worth sharing. With Halloween night just around the corner, here’s a straightforward Star Wars themed pumpkin for you to try if the force moves you.

The Princess Leia pumpkin is a central large carved pumpkin with two mini-pumpkins to act as the buns. Regrettably, you need to drill into Leia’s temple in order to attach the buns. Finally, a bit of cloth around the base of the pumpkin acts as Leia’s clothing and you’re done.

Build Your Own Enterprise

No Dilithium crystals required to fuel this geeky DIY project. Just a couple of pens, a CD and a few binder clips depending upon which version you build. These are all items that you can probably quickly get your hands on in an office setting. Sure to alleviate office boredom and lighten up the environment, this is one quick DIY worth trying.

According to CrunchGear, glue was used to attach the hull to the saucer but you should be able to move away from glue with a few pieces of strategically placed adhesive tape.

Inverted Bookshelf - A DIY Or David Blaine Magic?

This is a well done do it yourself project that will mesmerize friends and family and have them asking how this feat was accomplished. Once you’ve had a chance to review the documentation, it really is quite a straightforward project. In terms of material needed, there really isn’t a lot, just your standard materials for a shelf (wood and bracket) as well as elastic webbing and a staple gun to complete the illusion.

The Bookcase With The Built In StairCase

Designer Danny Kuo has a winner on his hands with his StairCase design. This prototype design is a bookshelf, with ample space to place your books and other items of interest. The lower three shelves are movable and can be moved out from the bookshelf so as to act like a step ladder with which you can reach items on the top levels.
