T-Mobile USA will be adding the Garminfone to it’s mobile phone lineup. The new Garmin-Asus phone will be exclusively available to T-Mobile and is powered by the Google Android 1.6 operating system, upon which a custom user interface has been developed.
Along with the open source OS, Garminfone comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display and a 3 megapixel digital camera. The device comes with a number of pre-installed software applications such as Garmin Voice Studio which along with the included car dock, makes this a full featured navigation device.
We should start to see the Garminfone appear at T-Mobile locations by late Spring.
