SuperTalent USB 3 Raid Drive Flash Drive

SuperTalent has just released the first portable drive with USB 3.0 technology, which they’ve named “RAIDDrive.” On systems that support the USB 3.0 standard, RAIDDrive can transfer data five times faster than USB 2.0 devices.

We could very well be seeing more USB devices like the RAIDDrive soon, as USB 3.0 technology begins to catch on. The RAIDDrive supports transfer speeds greater then 300MBps, and is capable of storing data for up to a decade. All in a single, portable device.

There still isn’t news as to when the RAIDDrive flash drive will become available, but we suspect it’ll be sooner rather then later. What SuperTalent has divulged is that their USB 3.0 flash drives will come in three storage capacity varieties — 32GB, 64GB, and a whopping 128GB.

We’ll be keeping a tab on other USB 3.0 devices as they come out.
