Nintendo fans are watching and waiting for Super Mario Galaxy 2 to come out, and before yesterday were expecting to buy the game this Christmas or early next year. This was expected, since Nintendo did take its time developing their best, most-awaited games. But Nintendo dropped a bomb when it announced that Super Mario Galaxy — as well as another highly-anticipated Wii game — will be coming much earlier than expected.
Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M will be coming out “mid-year.” That likely means we’ll be seeing a Summer release for both games — much earlier than most of us could even hope for.
What about the new Zelda game? No word on that game yet, although here’s to hoping it’ll come out in the same window as the new Mario and Metroid games. Nintendo will very likely have more news about the games this week, so let’s hope more details will be available by then.
Any other games you’re waiting for? Let’s hear them!
