Super Star Wars fans will probably recall R2-Q5, the astromech droid known for starship repairs and his secret spy gadgets. This R series droid has been reassigned to a new duty and that is to transfer data packets around the home network as a 4 port USB hub.
It’s not the first time a Star Wars character has been converted into a pc peripheral, R2-D2 has been morphed into many different devices including a USB hub as well.
The R2-Q5 is being sold online through Blister for about $76 with availability restricted to Japan only. Demand for Star Wars gadgets are high throughout the world, so if you don’t live in Japan, you might be able to pick this up on an online auction site such as Ebay.
