Google Android 2.2 Froyo was made available a couple of days ago and it was now up to the various mobile carriers to setup timelines as to when each would update their handset with the latest Google OS.
Sprint has some good news for HTC EVO 4G users, and there are many of them, confirming that the “superphone” will be getting Android 2.2. The exact date was not revealed, nor did they offer any timelines for some of their other popular smartphones such as the Samsung Moment or the HTC Hero, but they did indicate what mobile users can expect with Android 2.2.
The new OS version will bring changes to the user interface (UI), better EAS support, a faster browsing experience with Flash 10x, Bluetooth supported voice calling and the ability to save applications using external memory.
