Sony Electronics has come out with the Vaio W, their first netbook. For some time now, Sony has stayed away from the netbook market, but this mini notebook computer is an acknowledgment of the success and popularity of the netbook line.

Typical of all netbooks, the Vaio W is ultraportable and handy for basic computer functions such as surfing the internet and checking email.

Available in three vibrant colors, pink, white and brown, the Vaio W features a 1366 x 768 high resolution 10.1-inch wide screen display, 160GB hard drive, built-in webcam and microphone, bluetooth support, two USB ports and multimedia streaming software for wireless streaming of digital movies and music across the home network.

The Sony Vaio W netbook will be available next month with an MSRP of $500, which is above the price of most netbooks with similar features.
