If dogs can use the social networking site Twitter, then Sony feels that cats need to be given equal opportunity to send out tweets. As such, they have unveiled their latest gadget that has been developed in partnership with the University of Tokyo.

The device fits like a collar around your felines neck and includes an accelerometer, GPS and integrated camera. Together, these features can track your cats daily activities such as feeding, sleeping or simply walking around. This information is then transferred to a computer that can then update a twitter stream. The system can also be setup to send out automated tweets like “This tastes good” during feeding time.
