Sony has added to its Alpha DSLR line with the addition of the Alpha 450, an entry level DSLR. Although more on the low end side, the Alpha 450 does offer a 2.7-inch LCD display, a 9-point AF system, and 14.2 megapixels of digital resolution through the use of a Exmor CMOS sensor and a BIONZ processor.
What makes this camera model stand out from others in its class are some of its added features such as manual focus trim, improved image stabilization and Sony image editing software. Additionally, a single battery charge will provide enough juice to snap in excess of 1000 digital pictures, not bad for a camera that is expected to come in under $1,000, although there isn’t anything official on the pricing as of yet.
The Sony Alpha 450 is also compatible with SD/SDHC memory cards as well as the usual proprietary Sony sticks.
