Solar power systems are weaving themselves into every facet of human society from solar powered panels for home heating to solar lanterns to take on your next camping trip.

Solar power lunchbox

Still a conceptual gadget, Teo Song Wei has come up with the idea of a solar powered lunchbox.

The idea behind this gadget is to behave as a portable food warmer, keeping your lunch hot for a few hours. The principle is sound, use solar energy to keep lunch warm, but the concern would be how long the food would be sitting in the lunchbox and would there be food spoilage?

I suppose if you’re planning a warm picnic lunch that you are going to eat sooner rather then later, then this might be a good gadget. For now though, this is still a concept.
