The solar charging USB hub is another example of convergent technology that allows you to reduce the number of desktop gadgets that may be cluttering your table.

Solar charging USB 4 port hub

Available through Brando, this device functions as a 4 port wired hub and a solar charger capable to recharging your mobile phones, MP3 players, MP4 players, PDAs or any other device you may have.

This portable solar charger is small enough to take with you on your next out of town business trip. Included with the hub are 6 cell phone connectors that will work with the Nokia I, Nokia II, LG, Samsung i900, Sony Ericsson and a Mini USB (for Motorola/HTC/Dopod/MP3/MP4).

The unit incorporates a built-in lithium battery that can be charged via solar energy or AC power if you’re not feeling environmentally friendly and of course for night time charging.

The Brando Hub retails for $20.
