In terms of hardware specifications, both NAS units feature onboard 1.2GHz processor, 256MB of RAM and dual ethernet cards for failover protection. A number of protocols are also supported including CIFS, NFS, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, Bonjour, Microsoft Rally network, and Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory and they can also serve as an iTunes server or a DLNA-compliant digital media server.
