The Mobile World Conference is just around the corner, but in advance of it, we’ve already had a couple of leaks about a new Samsung mobile phone that is on the way. It started out with just a billboard advertisement and now a Swedish website has managed to secure high resolution images, hardware specifications and a model number for the new handset in advance of the official release.
Assuming the information is accurate, the Bada powered OS phone will be the Samsung S8500. Its features will include a 3.3-inch AMOLED screen, 1Ghz processor, 2GB storage space with MicroSD support, a 5 megapixel digital camera with flash and autofocus, 720p high definition video recording, 3.5mm jack and HSDPA/WiFi b/g/n support.
The Samsung S8500 will measure 10.9mm thick and will come with an aluminum body and tempered glass finish. Samsung plans to hold a media event on Sunday night so we expect this phone to go official at that time. There’s a good chance that pricing information will be made available as well.
