Samsung has confirmed that their new tablet computer, the Galaxy Tab will go on sale in the United Kingdom on November 1st. The Android tablet will be available through all major mobile carriers.
Samsung has elected not to reveal their pricing strategy at this time, but a SIM free Tab which is available through the online shopping sites Aamazon and Expansys do go for £600 – £700. Carrier pricing is another matter altogether and there may be some subsidies available that are provisional upon signing a data contract with the mobile company.
On the hardware side of things, the Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with a 1GHz CPU. It runs on the Google Android 2.2 OS which at this time is the most current version of the Google OS. The device also has a 7-inch TFT display screen and a pair of cameras for photography and video conference calling where possible.
