
The word is that Samsung has confirmed that the replacement to the Samsung Galaxy S will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2011) in February. The information comes by way of the Korean online news site, The Chosun llbo who states that Samsung has acknowledged the new smartphone but has not revealed any of its hardware features.
The new phone also does not have an official name just yet, but indications are that the device will run on the Gingerbread or Android 2.3 operating system and similar to the Nexus S, the device is speculated to have NFC wireless. Other expected features include a gyroscope and a dual core processor which will be an upgrade to the single core 1GHz Hummingbird processor that is found in the Galaxy S.
